About the WACDVIP

Our Mission

The mission of WACDVIP is to end domestic violence, including but not limited to physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, and economic abuse, as well as threats, intimidation, stalking, and social isolation of a partner.

We value & believe in:

  • Focusing on a batterer’s responsibility to recognize and stop their physically violent and other abusive and controlling behaviors

  • Providing batterer treatment services in a manner which promotes partner, child and societal safety.

  • Participating in community activities which promote consistent monitoring of batterers, improve protection of victims and children, and improve the understanding of, and local response to domestic violence.

    Wisconsin Association of Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Professionals is committed to promoting justice, safety, and accountability in addressing intimate partner and family violence. In its role as a certifying body for providers, the Wisconsin Association of Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Professionals does not discriminate in its certification processes, standards, or partnerships on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, marital status, partnership status, age, disability, veteran status, economic status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

    The Wisconsin Association of Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Professionals expects all certified providers to adhere to these principles, offering services that:

    ●     Focus on an individual's responsibility to recognize and cease physically violent, abusive, and controlling behaviors.

    ●     Are delivered in a manner that promotes the safety and well-being of partners, children, and the broader community.

    ●     Are non-discriminatory in their outreach, intake, service delivery, and outcomes for all participants.

    ●     Adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity in all aspects of treatment, including maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and transparency.

    We are dedicated to fostering a community of certified professionals who champion ethical practice, equity, and effective intervention for all.
